It snowed two days ago and caught a lot of people off guard. We haven’t had much snow in Minnesota for awhile. Normally I’m not one to care for snow but thought I would take advantage of it. (Plus snow looks stunning on camera.) I wrote about Hyland Park recently and was inspired to revisit in order to depict the current season.
Fortunately, it wasn’t too cold and I was able to spend a decent amount of time working without my hands freezing off. Oddly, I didn’t encounter anyone while in the park but found the emptiness to be quite peaceful. Being back brought up feelings of melancholy but I was glad that I returned.
It seems snow is prevalent this week because it has also been snowing in the east coast. I hope everyone is enjoying the remainder of winter. It’s bizarre to think that spring is just about to arrive! Although in Minnesota it might be awhile…the weather here is wonky!
