It’s bizarre how one can fluctuate so easily between feeling assured and completely insecure. I’m assuming that it takes a lifetime to completely solidify the balance. While self-doubt makes life difficult, it’s an opportunity for growth. In moments of struggle, we are able to discover valuable information about ourselves and the surrounding world.

Although it can be difficult to separate from our own problems, remember that there are billions of others who also share the human experience on this Earth. As I grow older, it becomes clearer how crucial it is to care for humanity in whatever way possible. Helping others and showing compassion is a way to nurture ourselves. This is especially important in times of turmoil.

The world is truly beautiful if you allow yourself to focus on the wondrous elements that exist all around us.

“If we have too many worries, fears, and doubts, we have no room for living and loving.  We need to practice letting go.”
-Thich Nhat Hanh
